Ans. To start a computer follow the given steps:

·         Switch on the main power supply button.

·         Switch on your UPS which provides uninterrupted power supply to computer.

·         Press Power button of CPU. The computer will boot up and open up with desktop screen.

5.       What are the steps required to shut down a computer?

Ans. To shut down a computer, follow the given steps:

·         Click on the Start button.

·         Then click on Power button.

·         Click on the Shutdown option.

·         A computer system has two main components viz. Hardware and Software.

·         The physical part of a computer that you can touch is Hardware.

·         The devices which are used to provide instructions to computer are known as input devices.

·         The devices which are used to store data, information etc. are known as storage devices.

·         The devices which are used to display the output are called output devices.

·         Software refers to the set of instructions or the program that tells the hardware, what to do.

·         There are mainly two types of software viz. System Software and Application Software.
